Please be reminded that students can only take up full-time employment during study if their study leave application is approved by the university.

For students who have been approved for study leave during the semester, students (BOTH local AND non-local) will NOT be approved for a place in HKUST Student Hostels because you are no longer a student studying full-time in HKUST during the ‘Leave’ period. If Hong Kong is not your place of origin, you must arrange your own housing during the ‘Leave’ period.
