Major Selection for Students admitted in 2017-18

| Eligibility
|
| |
|
| Students who have completed at least 29 credits (incl. transferred credits) can apply for the following programs:
|

SBM Programs: ECOF, GBUS, QFIN |
| - |
IPO Programs: EVMT, RMBI |
| |
|
| Students who have completed at least 43 credits (incl. transferred
credits) and 5 out of 7 Major Foundation Courses can apply for the following
programs:

SBM Programs: ACCT, ECOF, ECON, FINA, GBM, GBUS, IS, MARK, MGMT, OM, QFIN |
| - |
IPO Programs: EVMT, RMBI |
| Note: BIBU, DDP & MAEC only available in Spring.

| 1. |
Some programs may require interview during 8 - 9 Jan 2018. Invitation will be sent to shortlisted candidates by email. |

| 3. |
If you are admitted with a major (PBA students), you must give up your major quota when joining MSE. If no offer is received, you will be placed in the Business and Management Program and can join MSE again to choose a major in subsequent term(s) until the end of the 3rd term where you will be assigned GBM if there is still no offer. |

Before you apply for a major, please read the major selection exercise website carefully (http://undergrad.bm.ust.hk/academics/academic-planning/major-selections/major-selection#tabs-1). When submitting your application, please ensure all information provided is correct. |

| 5. |
You will receive a confirmation email 10 minutes after you submit the application with your program choice(s), confirming that the system has received your application. If no confirmation email is received, please check your junk mail box or contact bmug@ust.hk for assistance immediately. |

| 6. |
During the application period, applicants can amend the choice and information provided after the submission. However, all choices and information will be frozen and no amendment will be allowed after the application period. |

| 7. |
Your application will be sent to the relevant major departments for further consideration. Offers will be given depending on students’ academic performance, interview performance (if applicable), quotas of majors and specific program requirements. |
