Major Selection for Students admitted in 2023-24

| Eligibility
|
| |
|
| Students who have completed at least 29 credits (incl. transferred credits) can apply for the following programs:
|
| - |
SBM Programs: ECOF, GBUS, QFIN |
| - |
AIS Programs: EVMT |
| - |
Joint Programs with SSCI and SENG: RMBI |
| |
|
| Students who have completed at least 43 credits (incl. transferred
credits) and 5 out of 7 Major Foundation Courses can apply for the following
programs:

SBM Programs: ACCT, ECON, FINA, GBM, IS, MARK, MGMT, OM |
| Note: BIBU, DDP, MAEC & SGFN can only be chosen in Year 1 Spring. |

| Notes to Applicants

| 1. |
Interviews may be required for certain programs on 4-5 Jan 2024, and for GBUS on 8 Jan 2024. Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations via email on or before 3 Jan 2024. |

| 3. |
If you are a PBA student admitted with a major, you must give up your major quota when joining MSE. If you do not receive an offer, you will be placed in the Business and Management Program. You can join MSE again in subsequent term(s) to choose a major until the end of the 3rd term. If there is still no offer, you will be assigned GBM. |

| 4. |
Before applying for a major, please read the major selection exercise website carefully (http://undergrad.bm.ust.hk/academics/academic-planning/major-selections/major-selection#tabs-1). When submitting your application, please ensure all information provided is correct. |

| 5. |
You will receive a confirmation email about 10 minutes after you submit the application with your program choice(s), confirming that the system has received your application. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your junk mail box or contact bmug@ust.hk for assistance immediately. |

| 6. |
During the application period, applicants can amend the choice and information provided after submission. After the application period, all choices and information will be frozen and NO amendment will be allowed. |

| 7. |
Your application will be sent to the relevant major departments for further consideration. Offers will be given depending on students’ academic performance, interview performance (if applicable), quotas of majors and specific program requirements. |
